Job Title:                Outbound Funding Consultant (Telesales)

Location:               Southampton

Duration:               Full time

Salary:                    14k – 18k (plus additional 7k OTE)


General outline of the role:

The primary function of the Outbound Funding Consultant is to generate business to pass on to the finance brokers. The Outbound Funding Consultant will be responsible for meeting personal and team targets. The candidate must be able to work under pressure and to set timescales. He or she must be able to work as a key member of a team, be self-motivated, adaptable, dynamic and ambitious; and be able to liaise with other teams both internally and outside of the Group. The candidate will be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop.


Key Responsibilities:

•           Lead generation, using our CRM tool (Saleslogix) to pro-actively market for new prospects and suspects, identify and develop new brokerage opportunities and pass qualified leads to the brokerage team

•           Manage and develop a client base of prospects

•           Progress calls into leads for the brokerage and ultimately deals for our funding partners

•           Manage workloads and prioritise work to meet business targets, personal and team Key Performance Indicators

•           Maintain the highest level of quality and professionalism whist accurately qualifying prospective clients

•           Liaise with all contacts, including the brokerage in a professional, effective and courteous manner

•           Facilitate and record escalations to the Team Leader

•           Attend regular meetings with the team / management and update on business development / pipeline activity

•           Maintain detailed and timely records and ensure best practice / highest of standards at all times

•           Continue improvement of departmental processes to ensure that customers are processed as smoothly as possible

•           Identify trends and suggest improvements to team processes and strategy

•           Any duty you may be asked to perform as part of a special project

 

Candidate Requirements:

Person Specification:

Experience:

Typically the candidate will have practical experience within a successful telemarketing department. Previous roles could include cold and warm calling exposure. Whilst not essential, experience within the business finance sector would be preferred.

Skills:

•           Excellent communication skills and telephone manner

•           High level of attention to detail

•           A good level of Business acumen

•           Computer proficiency – Word, Excel, Outlook and Saleslogix or similar CRM System

•           Proven team player with excellent interpersonal skills

•           Able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
